JAZZ TELEVISION's collaboration with artists, cultural institutions and the dance and music community has a clear goal: to improve the substantive presence of dance in the media and to popularise opera and ballet among the younger generation.
JAZZ TELEVISION's cooperation with artists, cultural institutions and the dance and music community has a clearly defined goal: to improve the substantive presence of dance in the media and to popularise opera and ballet among the younger generation. Our intention is to make ballet and contemporary dance more accessible, understandable and appealing to audiences, especially young people, who are increasingly seeking new forms of artistic expression.
Television perceives dance as a language of culture which, when properly presented, can become a natural element of contemporary media. Therefore, we are planning a series of programmes devoted to:
new contemporary choreography,
original choreographic projects,
the relationship between classical music, jazz and movement,
the choreographer's creative process – from idea to stage.
Children and young people will occupy a special place in this project. Materials are planned that show dance as a tool for developing sensitivity, imagination and creative discipline. We want to show that ballet and dance are not a closed or elitist world, but a space where young people can find a language for expressing emotions, teamwork and contact with live music.
